as some may know, i recently enrolled for a web site design and application module. thus i decided to brush up on my coding skills and remind myself how to do a website. hence abit of fooling around. i know i have not been blogging for a while now, i promise myself that i will do so once i complete this revision.
UPDATE: apparently its almost done, so yeap, the new blog design is done.
Got abit of a question though, the picture I used of myself was from straitstimes, do i violate any copyright rule? afterall its my picture right?
Its been so long since I last updated my blog. So much things to write, so little time. But I would in due time.
Meanwhile, here’s the launch of my photography collection.

Here’s some sneak peak, click on the above link for more.

guess what. i have finally got the time to update the wordpress engine. finally running on 2.5.1. don’t really feel that its much better then any previous version, though there is a little change in interface, would probably have to get used to it.
hey yes, if you actually realize it, that means you’re observant, if not, my blog address has been moved to stormelement.com instead of the /wordpress directory. so my dear friends, please update accordingly.
“Does anyone know why the wheel group is called wheel?” I mean, why not “admins” or something like that. “wheel” certainly is a cryptic name for the administrators group. ?
The guy who wrote the group functionality was both a buddist and a Journey fan. He was listening to “Wheel in the sky” while trying to figure out a way to give more people administrative rights without giving too much access. In a fit of enlightenment, he came up with a special group for administrators. Since they were the ones who kept things turning, it would only seem appropriate that “wheel” be immortalized in the /etc/group file.
Note: For those who don’t understand, this was a thought, when I was figuring out how to use the wheel user group in a FreeBSD system. Wheel group refers to users who can use sudo, su commands to move into other accounts, and grant special administrative right ? If you are a CSC student, and you don’t understand this, “Good luck”, if you are not, my intention is just for your amusement.
yup, wordspew didn’t last that long, a quick look around have shown that there are many people having issues with wordspew. it worked pretty well in my previous wordpress editions, but lately it seems to be more of a disappointment. anyway thought about blogging, but suddenly lost interest, maybe later.
