Greetings twenty ten
Instead of sprouting any new year greeting anyone who reads this a happy new year. Let me share the conversations I had to get through over the passing of the new year.
.
“Random conversation at the staircase”
Mum: What are you doing alone in your room all the time ?
Me: Nothing
Mum: You sure ?
.
“Over dinner”
Mum: What is going on in you room, I keep hearing explosions and other loud sounds
Me: I’m playing a computer game
Mum: Oh
Me: Don’t worry, I finished playing it already.
Mum: Oh
Me: If you hear them again, its a completely new game.
Mum: You have a very sad life
Me: I know.
.
“At work”
(Background: I told my Dad to take my car in the morning, leaving me car-less)
Dad: So how did you get to office today?
Me: I walked
Dad: Why
Me: I didn’t know what bus to take
… later in the day
Mum, Dad: You know you can take 17x, x2 bus to office right?
Me: I know, but I wouldn’t
Mum: Why?
Me: Stressful, you need to watch which bus stop to stop, did you take everything bla bla bla
Mum: You know that majority of people take public transport to work right?
Me: Yeah, but they seldom have public transport phobia
Mum: There isn’t such a phobia
Me: I know, I invented it.
Well, its a new year, but the same family I have to live with.
